MOSCOW, Jul 3 (PRIME) -- Russia and Sudan are in negotiations on joint ventures to produce gold and rare-earth metals with possible participation of other states, Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Malik Agar told PRIME on Monday.
"We are speaking about joint ventures, and they (the negotiations) continue. Not only Sudan and Russia, but other states are participating as well in them," Agar said, when asked about dialogue between Russia and Sudan on agreements on development of gold and rare-earth metals.
Russian state geological exploration company Rosgeo CEO Sergei Gorkov said in May that the company continued operations in Sudan in spite of a difficult political situation.
